Colombia - Huila - Blend Gigante Decaffeinated

Gigante is located at the convergence of several important features in Central Huila. The municipality is intersected by the Magdelena River and it acts as a commercial centre for all trade in the area. It is known for cacao production at lower altitude farms and for producing world class coffee at higher elevations. This particular lot was gathered from small family farms through the municipality (15 farms in total) and blended based on moisture & water activity as well as flavour profile at our exporter's lab in Pitalito, Huila. The average farm size in this area is slightly larger than other areas of Colombia so picking is completed by labourers from other areas who travel and work at various farms in the area during harvest. This is the second year Apex has offered this blend as a decaf and it has been one of our favourites so far. The clean and bright cup pairs well with the sweet and crisp flavours in the final cup.
