This is a natural process direct trade purchase from the small farm of  Antônio José de Vilas Boas. The farm, Sítio Dois Irmãos, translated as Site of the Two Brothers, was named for Antonio's two sons, Allan and Alex. In 2000, Antonio, a tomato farmer, bought a 30 hectare plot of land located at the foot of Serra da Pedra Branca, a tourist site in the city of Conceição das Pedras, south of Minas Gerais. The new land was planted with coffee. The average elevation of the farm is 1300 masl.

Sítio Dois Irmãos' mission is to produce quality, specialty cofffee and improve the livlihood of the whole family, whose new focus is coffee. Allan, one of Antonio's sons, is in college studying agribusiness, developing a business skill set that will benefit the farm. They are continually striving to improve the harvest, seeking knowledge and applying new techiques.

The hard work and committment has paid off. Coffee from the farm was considered among the 40 best coffees in Brazil by the Brazilian Association of Specialty Coffee in 2016, and in 2017 was the champion coffee at  the 2017 specialty coffee competition held by the Central Cooperative of Coffee Growers and Agropecuaristas of Minas Gerais.

The farm is part of the Cocarive co-op in the Mantiqueira de Minas region. Every step, including importation to the U.S., is controlled and managed by the farmers.

Enjoy with us our first offering direct from Antonio's family. Only 15 bags of this coffee were produced.
